South Surrey Children’s Dentistry
As your child grows, taking good care of their teeth and gums is essential to their physical development. Children should see the dentist for the first time by the age of 1 year. It is around that time when their teeth first begin to appear. Regular trips to the dentist will promote healthy teeth and gums, and help to spot any problems that may arise. We know that your child’s smile is precious to you, and we want to help you give them the right start.

Tips on the Care of Your Children’s Teeth
- Children should see the dentist for the first check-up around the time their teeth start to come in.
- Encourage your child to brush and floss after every meal and before going to bed.
- Our dentist will show you and your child the correct way to use a toothbrush and dental floss.
- Our dentist will help you determine the correct amount of fluoride tooth paste for your child.
- Make healthy snacks readily available to your child. Avoid snacks that contain a lot of sugar.
- Fruit juices can contain a lot of sugar. Limit the amount of fruit juice they drink and encourage them to drink more water.
